MEN’S SOCCER AND CROSS COUNTRY IN TOP CCAA RANKINGS

Two Thompson Rivers University WolfPack sports teams appear in the most recent Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association national rankings.

The WolfPack men’s soccer team, who won and lost against Capilano University and Vancouver Island University this past weekend remain 12 th in the CCAA ratings. In fact, the top five teams in Canada remain where they were: Humber (OCAA), VIU (PAC WEST), Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (ACAC), Sheridan (OCAA) and Elans Francois-Xavier-Garneau (RSEQ).

The WolfPack have one game this Thanksgiving Day weekend . It is Sunday (Oct 9) at Hillside Stadium against the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves. Kick off is 2 pm.

The first CCAA Cross Country rankings are out and Thompson Rivers University is rated 11 th. MacEwen of Alberta (ACAC) is ranked first followed by Humber of Ontario (OCAA) and Red Deer Queens (ACAC). Those teams are expected to be in Kamloops November 12 th for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association championships. They will be held at McCarthur Island.
