TRU Interim Head Coach Mike Hawkins:
“We came out flat at the beginning of the match and struggled to settle in and find our rhythm. We did a few things well and put pressure on Brandon, but didn’t seem to be able to capitalize. In the final two sets we got a spark from guys like Jake, Charlie, and Kyle (Behiels, 2nd year middle, Edmonton, AB) , but credit goes to Brandon on fighting back and taking the 4th. We’ll regroup and make some adjustments and look to build off the last two sets tomorrow.”
Both teams will go at it again on Saturday (Nov 5, 2016) in Brandon. Game time is 5 pm CST. Webcast on Canada West TV.
Next weekend (Nov 11-12) the WolfPack will kick off a four match home stand on the Warner Rentals Court at the Tournament Capital Centre as they entertain the Mount Royal University Cougars. The following weekend (Nov 18-19), the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds will be paying a visit to Kamloops.
Brandon has a bye week next week.
