TRU head coach Chad Grimm:
“A win on the road is important and to take care of business 3-0 is great for the group. We can clean up some things. It wasn’t always crisp volleyball. But at the end of the day we got the job done and that is what is important. I thought Iullia had a strong match. She got us points at important times when we needed it. Kendra (Finch, 2nd year, libero, North Vancouver, BC) did a good job today. Positionally she was better and was more disciplined. It showed in her defense. She made some good plays and was stable for us.”
The WolfPack have the bye next weekend, which is the final one for Canada West play before the Christmas break.
They will have an exhibition holiday scrimmage tournament at the TCC December 29-31 with USport ranked Dalhousie Tigers of Nova Scotia (AUS) and the UBCO Heat (Canada West).
TRU kicks off the second half of the Canada West regular season with back to back road trips. They visit the Calgary Dinos on Thursday and Friday (Jan 5-6, 2017) and then visit the Trinity Western University Spartans in Langley, BC on January 13-14, 2017.
