The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Baseball team are off to the semifinals at the CCBC playoffs after finishing round robin play with a 7-2 win over the Vancouver Island Mariners Saturday morning. The ‘Pack finished 3-1 in round robin play.
Dillon Ferguson (Kirkland, WA) got the start against the Mariners. He threw a complete game, nine innings, allowing two runs on nine hits and two walks. He struck out a season high 14 batters.

The ‘Pack’s offense was quiet until a five run seventh inning broke the game open. A clutch double by Greg Labranche (Maple Ridge, BC) gave the team the lead. Blayne Halland (Kamloops, BC) put the game away with a three run homerun later that inning. Connor McKenzie (Kamloops, BC) went 2-3 with two RBIs, a run scored and a walk. Malik James (Toronto, ONT) also had two hits, a RBI and a run scored. Josh Snider (Moses Lake, WA) went 2-3 and scored a run. Ethan Mohan went 3-5 with a double.

The WolfPack will play in their semi final game tomorrow at 10am against either the Okanagan College Coyotes or the University of Fraser Valley Cascades. If they advance, the finals will be right after at 1:30pm.
