Something special for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team this fall.
Traditionally, the WolfPack play a number of exhibition games in the fall as head coach Ray Chadwick gets a chance to see his entire roster in action.
This week though, something different.
The WolfPack will be entertaining a team from the Dominican Republic starting tomorrow night (Wed Sept 13) at Norbrock Staduim. UTESA: Universidad Technologica de Santiago will be spending six days in Kamloops.
They were to have gotten here last week but had some difficulty with financing the final leg of their trip from Toronto, Ontario to Kamloops.
While here, the Dominicans, who have a team made up of players aged 23-27 will be playing single games against the WolfPack.
They will play Wednesday at 630 pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Sept 14-16) at 6 pm and Sunday September 17th at noon.
TRU hopes to visit the Dominican Republic in the Spring of 2019.
