Former NHL’er Talks Mental Health With WolfPack Coaches, Athletes

Coaches and athletes with the WolfPack were treated to a special presentation on Wednesday (Oct 4). Former Kamloops Blazers, Team Canada and NHL goaltender now broadcaster Corey Hirsch gave a presentation on mental health and mental health issues. Hirsch, who went public with his battle of OCD shared his story along with some advice on how to help yourself and your teammate if you think they are struggling. One in five Canadians are touched by mental illness. Look for a social media piece on today’s chat on the WolfPack you tube, facebook and this website soon. Hirsch is in town to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Canadian Mental Health being in Kamloops.
