WolfPack Baseball Win Two, Lose One in Kelowna

After splitting their doubleheader against the Okanagan College Coyotes on Saturday in Kamloops, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack were back in action in Kelowna today for three games. They lost the first game to the Coyotes 9-2, but then bounced back with two wins against the Okanagan A’s; 5-3 and 2-1.

Third year pitcher Dillon Ferguson (Kirkland, WA) started game one against the Coyotes. He threw 3.1 innings, allowing nine runs (six earned) on 11 hits. He struck out four batters. Bryant Jameus (Kamloops, BC) came into the game in relief and threw 4.2 innings of no hit baseball.

Moses Lake native Josh Snider went 2-3 with a double and two RBIs in game one. Zac Comeault (Pitt Meadows, BC) went 2-4 with a double. Cole Paquin (Regina, SK) went 2-3 with two runs scored.

Joesph Siniscalchi (Burnaby, BC) had a great start for the ‘Pack in game two. He tossed 5.2, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits, while striking out seven batters.

Taylor Van Ham (Medicine Hat, AB) stayed hot as he went 1-2 with a RBI double, a run scored and a walk. Josiah Williams (Surrey, BC) , Zac Comeault and Cole Paquin all had RBI singles. Liam Rihela (White Rock, BC) drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

After earning the save in game two, Justin Beaumont (Winnipeg, MB) earned the win in game three. He started and threw four innings, allowing one unearned run on three hits and a walk while striking out three. Josh Snider earned a three inning save, striking out seven batters.

The offense was quiet in game three despite getting the win. Rhys McKenzie (Kamloops, BC) drove in a run with a RBI single and Matt Pidlisecky (Abbotsford, BC) drove in a run with a RBI groundout. Jacob Bromley (Cranbrook, BC) went 2-2 with a run scored, a walk and a stolen base.
