The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack set some personal bests in day two of the Canada West swim championships.
The TRU women’s 4×100 relay team wound up eighth in the final.

On the consolation side individually—Joelle Young (Fort McMurray, AB) chopped five seconds of her personal best in the women’s 400 meter IM. She wound up fourth.

Gabby Dagasso (Kamloops, BC) shaved three seconds off her personal best finishing fifth in the women’s 200 meter backstroke. Breena Rusnell (Fort McMurray, AB) chopped two seconds of her personal best as she wound up seventh in the women’s 200 meter freestyle. Nolan Paul (Mission, BC but swam out of Chilliwack last year), was eighth in the men’s 200 meter backstroke. He shaved five seconds off his personal best.

The Canada West championships wind up tomorrow.

The WolfPack are coached by Brad Dalke-the long time coach of the Kamloops Classics. He saw his daughter Megan win a silver medal in the 100 meter IM. She swims for UBC. Another Classic’s alum: Ethan Jenson who swims for UVIC was fifth in the 100 meter butterfly.
