The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack got 23 points from Ukrainian import Anton Bilous (3rd year, guard, Cherkassy, Ukraine) as they opened the 2018 portion of their Canada West men’s basketball season with an overtime victory. The WolfPack took the host University of Victoria Vikes 86-82 on Friday night (Jan 5).

TRU trailed 33-31 at the half. The teams were tied at 71 after regulation time. The WolfPack record rises to 6-7 while Victoria falls to 6-5.

SYNOPSIS

TRU had four players in double figures. Bilous had 23 points followed by Luke Morris (5th year, forward, Mission, BC) with 22 points. Joe Davis (3rd year, forward, Kamloops, BC) added 14 points while Michael Rouault (3rd year, guard, Vernon, BC) contributed 10 points.

Victoria’s offense was powered by Scott Kellum with 27 points with Justin Kinnear adding 18.

Victoria turned over the ball 14 times in the ball game to TRU’s 9. The lead changed nine times in the contest.
