TRU head coach Pat Hennelly:
On Match: “ Another solid effort on the road. We won the first set and a nice lead in the second but Regina scrapped back and took it from us. The third set was definitely competitive back and forth volleyball. It was nice to come out with a win in that. We gave ourselves a lead and cruised to victory. We were led by Tim Dobbert again offensively. I thought our defensive intensity and blocking were much better tonight. One of our better blocking nights overall. Anton did another good job of running the offense, spreading the ball around and providing opportunities to get kills for our hitters. Landon Currie and Cole Keddie were great-both registering double digit digs and passing very well. Great for us to win 3 out of 4 on the road to start 2018. We have a big series next weekend at home against Saskatchewan.”
The WolfPack return home for their first home matches of the 2018 calendar year. On Friday, January 19th they entertain the University of Saskatchewan Huskies on the Warner Rentals Court at the Tournament Capital Centre. Game time will be 6 pm. The Cougars will visit Langley, BC and the Trinity Western University Spartans next weekend.
