Kamloops, BC – The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team is back in action this weekend as they welcome the Vancouver Island Baseball Institute Mariners to town. After going 0-3 last weekend, the WolfPack have struggled to start the season as they are 3-8 heading into the weekend. The Mariners are the hottest team in the CCBC right now as they are 7-1. They didn’t play last weekend because of poor weather.

“As a team, we just need to play with some confidence,” says shortstop Liam Rihela, “If we can string some hits together and score a couple runs early in the game we’ll be in a good spot. Our pitching has been keeping us in games all year and as an offence, we have to figure out a way to score runs.”

The weekend will get started Saturday night (April 14th) as they two teams play a doubleheader starting at 4pm. Game two will go at 7pm. It will be a quick turnaround for the teams on Sunday (15th) as game times for 10am and 1pm.

“If you can’t make it out to the games, you can watch at home, on your computer or on your phone by heading to the WolfPack YouTube Page or the website: www.gowolfpack.ca and clicking ‘watch games live’. Our broadcast team consists of James Matthews, Sam Neufeld and Kasahra Atkins. ”
