The fantastic fall continues for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team.
The Pack raised their fall exhibition record to 16-5 following a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Okanagan College Coyotes at Norbrock Stadium on Saturday (Oct 20).
The scores were 8-4 in the first game and 9-4 in the second.
In the first game: Tyler Moskalyk (Thunder Bay, ON) was the winning pitcher. He threw seven innings of four hit baseball surrendering four runs, striking out ten and walking two. Taylor Van Ham (Medicine Hat, AB) was three for four with a pair of doubles. Malik James (Whitby, ON) was two for four. Zac Comeault (Maple Ridge, BC) was two for five with a homer and two runs batted in. Liam Shibata (Abbotsford, BC) was two for four with two RBI.
The second game saw Tyler Hodder (Fort McMurray, AB) notch the victory. He went seven innings giving up four hits, one run, talked one and struck out 11. Jack Suhai (Medicine Hat, AB) was one for four with two runs batted in. Jackson Dartnell (Winnipeg, MB) was two for three with a walk and two runs batted in. Matt Richards (Grande Prairie, AB) was two for three.
The WolfPack and Coyotes will play another doubleheader Sunday (Oct 21) in Kelowna. TRU will then gear up to head to Ontario for the start of the first ever National University Baseball championship which begins Thursday (Oct 25).
