THEY SAID IT! (post match quotes):

TRU head coach Chad Grimm

On match: “I felt much better about this performance. I thought yesterday we played timid and nervous and didn’t let ourselves play. I thought today , even in the first set…and I thought Calgary was outstanding in the first set. We had a real hard time getting past their defense. They made some spectacular plays. The second set, we were up 19-18 to close out the set. The third set was easily our best set of the year. We were efficient. We passed the ball well. We got beat by a better Calgary team. Overall, I thought we had some things to build on, which was good.”

The WolfPack will return home to prepare for their own home opener. That will come up Friday, October 26th on the Warner Rentals court at the Tournament Capital Centre. Their opponents will be the U SPORTS Bronze medal winners from last year: the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. Match time will be 5 pm. It will be a “McDonalds” sponsored weekend.
