WolfPack baseball settle for fourth at College Nationals

The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack are coming home with a fourth place finish at the 2018 College Baseball Nationals.
The WolfPack blew a 4-0 lead and wound up falling to the Fanshawe College Falcons of Ontario in the bronze medal match Saturday afternoon (Oct 27).

The Falcons scored a run in the third inning, two more in the fourth and scored seven in the fifth inning.

Fanshawe had 10 runs on 10 hits with no errors. The Pack had five runs on four hits and two errors.

Five TRU players: Taylor Van Ham (Medicine Hat, AB), Malik James (Whitby, ON),Tyron James (Whitby, ON) , Liam Shibata (Abbotsford, B) and Adam Filmon (Winnipeg, MB) had runs batted in.

Tyron James had a triple while Van Ham and Jackson Dartnell (Winnipeg, MB) had doubles.

Bryant Jameus (Kamloops, BC) was the losing pitcher. He went three innings giving up three hits, a run, a walk and a strikeout. He was the first of three pitchers.
Thompson Rivers finished with a record of 1 and 4 at the Nationals. They have now concluded their Fall exhibition schedule. They will train during the winter months and then go to Arizona for Spring Training in February, 2019.
