The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack swim team has returned from the 2018 Canada West championships with some positive results.
The event wrapped up Sunday with the following finishes:
Ryley McRae placed 3rd in the “B” Final of the 400 Freestyle and placed 6th in the “B” Final of the 200 Fly.
Emily Dagasso placed 4th in the “B” Final of the 200 Fly.
Matt Gauthier placed 33rd in the 100 Freestyle.
Gabrielle Dagasso placed 20th in the 100 Back.
TRU finished 8th in both the Women’s and Men’s Team rankings.
Head coach Brad Dalke stated, “Overall this was a really tough meet for our group. However, the upside was it was great learning experience for the group of TRU swimmers to see what it takes to take their swimming to the next level. “When you’re racing against world class competition, it makes you reflect on everything you’re doing and what it takes to be better”.
The WolfPack swim team will host their own MJB Law tournament next month.
