Student-athletes, university sport conferences and Bell Let’s Talk team up to grow the mental health conversation

Leading up to January 25, 100 university sports games across the country will host Bell Let’s Talk events. Fans will receive thunder sticks and temporary tattoos and have the opportunity to sign talk bubbles and banners in support of mental health. Fans are also encouraged to take pictures and share on social media on Bell Let’s Talk Day to support Canadian mental health and drive Bell’s funding for mental health programs.

The WolfPack were down 29-17 after the first quarter and despite outscoring the Vikes 21-12 in the fourth quarter, couldn’t recover.
TRU turned the ball over 26 times compared to Victoria’s 22. The Vikes were up 50-32 at the half.

Coach Scott Reeves is hoping that it will be ‘home sweet home’ in the second half which could catapult the squad back into playoff contention. “We have a number of our games at home and we will have to win those games for sure to have a chance,” he says.The Vikes come in with a .500 record (4-4) but like the ‘Pack, lost their final two league contests. “Victoria is a solid all around team,” Reeves states about the opposition. “They like to transition so we must be able to get back and not allow easy baskets. We need a solid team defensive effort.”
