The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s basketball are still looking to taste sweet victory in the calendar year 2018.
TRU dropped its fifth straight game in Canada West action as they fell to the number 10 ranked Trinity Western Spartans in Langley, BC on Friday (Jan 26). The score was 80-49.
Kayla Gordon (Prince George, B.C.) officially became TWU’s all-time career points leader as she earned the first two points of the game and finished the night with 14 points for a now program-leading 1,126 points. Gordon surpassed Spartan alum Holly Strom who had 1,112 career points.
The WolfPack trailed 20-7 after the first quarter and were behind 44-18 at the half. After three quarters, the Spartans held a 63-32 advantage.

The WolfPack and Spartans will do battle again tomorrow in Langley. TRU will return home to entertain the Brandon University Bobcats on Friday and Saturday (Feb 2-3 pm) on the Warner Rentals court at the Tournament Capital Centre.
