The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s curling team remains unbeaten at the 2018 Western Canadian championships.

The WolfPack-skipped by Corryn Brown with Erin Pincott at third, second Dezaray Hawes and lead Samantha Fisher won their second game of the event on Saturday morning (Feb 10).

Playing at the Heather Curling Club in Winnipeg, the WolfPack downed the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns 8-5.   The Pronghorns are skipped by Krista Shortridge.

The WolfPack scored two in the second, added a single in the fourth, two more in the fifth, three in the seventh end and one more in the eighth for the victory. The game went only nine ends.


TRU faces the host Winnipeg Wesmen skipped by Christine McKay in the noon Saturday CDT draw.

Their final round robin game will be played Sunday (Feb 11) at 7 am CDT against Regina’s Haylee Jameson.

The top rinks will advance to the USPORTS Curling Nationals to be held at the Leduc Curling Club in Leduc, Alberta next month.
