WolfPack Can’t Get Over the Bend Against Big Bend

The struggles continued for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team on Sunday as they fell to the Big Bend Community College Vikings 9-2. They couldn’t avoid allowing the big inning again.

 

Left-hander Scott Wood (Stratford, ON) tossed three innings, allowing two runs (both earned) on four hits and a walk, striking out one batter. Bryant Jameus (Kamloops, BC) threw an inning plus, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks. Josh Snider (Moses Lake, WA) threw three shutout innings, striking out four batters. Jack Suhai (Medicine Hat, AB) allowed two runs (one earned) in his inning of work.

 

Nick Bolt (Brooks, AB) brought in the ‘Pack’s only two runs with a two RBI double to right-centre in the seventh inning. Vance Fode (Bow Island, AB) went 2-2. Josh Snider went 1-2 with a walk and a run scored. Taylor Van Ham (Medicine Hat, AB), Adam Filmon (Winnipeg, MB), Liam Rihela (White Rock, BC), Matt Pidlisecky (Abbotsford, BC) all had a base hit each. Rhys McKenzie had a walk and a run scored.

 

The ‘Pack have one more weekend in Washington before the regular season starts on March 24th. They will take on Olympic Community College for four exhibition games in Bremerton, Washington next weekend. 1pm and 4pm on Saturday, March 17th and 11am and 2pm on Sunday, March 18th.
