WolfPack begin Terry Fox Runs in local Schools

Two members of the WolfPack men’s basketball program: Madhu McConnell of Victoria, BC (third year guard) and Tyler Schilling of Barriere, BC (red shirt) took time out of their studies to join the students at the Bert Edwards Science and Technology School on Friday (Sept 14). They helped with the schools Terry Fox Run.

Bert Edwards is the first of 12 elementary schools that the WolfPack will be helping with their Terry Fox Run. The others are: Beattie, South Sahali, Sun Peaks, Marion Schilling, Parkcrest, David Thompson, Westmount, Juniper Ridge, Savona, Kamloops School of the Arts, and Aberdeen.

Besides men’s basketball: women’s volleyball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s rugby and cross country athletes are donating their time to being in the school’s for their Terry Fox Runs over the next few weeks.

The community Terry Fox Run is Sunday September 16th at Riverside Park. TRU men’s basketball will be there to help warm runners up and participate in the run themselves.
